According to players, the new version is a well-made reproduction of the original and the visual effects are simply stunning. The Remastered version now supports 16:9 aspect ratios. One of the interesting Brood War characters, Admiral Alexei Stukov, will be making an appearance in Heroes of the Storm as the new melee support hero. A smart move to get other players interested in the lore, and, eventually, into buying the remastered version. The revamped version of StarCraft will feature widescreen 4K-resolution graphics, a leaderboard system, online matchmaking, cloud saves available not only for the campaign but also for hotkeys, replays, etc. Remastered dialogue to boot, enhanced sound and multiplayer compatibility will also be among the features the new version will offer to.
